Year of the Horse

On the Lunar New Year, Mel opened the Year of the Horse at her Dallas, TX studio, Gallery One Two Three. More than a year was spent creating new pieces featuring new blue horses, portraits, woodcut prints, drawings, bronze sculptures, and a video installation—this body of work culminates a lifetime devoted to celebrating the strength, majesty, and sensitivity of horses. The exhibit remains open to the public and pieces are available through the gallery.

You can also find artist signed prints available in our shop. Prints are produced using high quality scanning for precise coloration and printed on museum quality Arches paper of 18x12 Limited Edition Gigclees.

Proceeds from all of Mel's artwork directly support the horses and donkeys of Blue Horse Sanctuary near Glen Rose, Texas.
